i.       EPHRAIM CARY was born on 27 Sep 1746. He died on 23 Jun 1836 in Hartland, VT. He married Abigail Waldron on 14 Jun 1778 in Bristol, RI, USA. She was born on 13 Feb 1759. She died on 04 Jun 1883.

 

ii.       MEHITABLE CARY was born in 1747 in CT.

 

iii.      REUBEN CARY was born in 1751. He died in 1819. He married SMITH.

 

iv.      LEVI CARY was born on 26 Feb 1754 in Lee, Essex, MA. He died on 06 Feb 1845 in Richland, Oswego, NY. He married Ruth Goodrich in 1782. She was born on 25 Jan 1765 in Scotland, Windham, CT. She died on 10 Sep 1839 in NY.

v.       OLIVER CARY was born in 1758 in Windham, CT. He died on 26 Feb 1844 in Portage, Allegheny, NY. He married Sarah Robinson on 04 May 1792 in Windham, CT.

 

vi.      BENJAMIN CARY was born in 1758 in Windham, CT.

 

vii.     ELIZABETH CARY was born in 1761 in Windham, CT.

 

viii.    HEZEKIAH CARY was born on 02 Jul 1763 in Scotland, Windham, CT. He died after 1855. He married Deborah Payne in First Cong church. She was born about 1761 in Scotland, Windham, CT. She died before 1850.

Per Microfilm roll no. 168, Onondaga Public Library, Hezekiah is listed as a Rev. War Pensioner [S39279] from 24 Mar 1818 at $8.00/month, and he appeared in Shaftsbury 24 Mar 1855, at the age of 91 [ ! ] to lay his claim for the newly enacted Bounty Land Law.

 

He declared on his 1818 [[ae 55] pension: wife, Deborah, ae 58 [b. ca 1760]


son, Henry, ae 25 [b. ca 1793], who was disabled owing to 'no bone in one leg from the hip to the knee occasioned by a fever sore.'

 *He enlisted as a private soldier at Windham, CT under Capt. Trafton in Col. Sherburn's Regiment in the Spring of the year 1777 [ae 14?] for the term of 3 years. Page 173, "Mass. Soldiers & Sailors in the War of the Revolution," states:

 "Cary, Hezekiah. Private, Capt. Joshua Trafton's co., Henry Sherburne's regt.; muster roll made up 21 Jul 1778, to 21 Aug 1778, dated Camp "Middel Town;" enlisted 20 Oct 1777; enlistment, 3 years."

 There is also a Hezekiah Car(e)y, of the right age, reported in the 1800 Census for Berkshire co. (Williamstown) MA [129], as follows: 21010 01010 00, which would possibly relate as follows:

 1 male 26-45: [Hezekiah would have been 37].

 1 female 26-45: [Deborah would have been abt 40].

1 male 10-16: (b. 1784-1800) [Abel was b. 1781/82???].

2 males under 10: (b. 1790-1800) [Henry was b. 1798; the other male is unknown as this time].

 1 female 10-16: [Clarissa was b. 1788].

 

ix.      MARY CARY was born in 1766 in Windham, CT.

 

x.       LUTHER CARY was born in 1768 in Scotland, Windham, CT. He died on 01 Mar 1834 in S. Warren, Bradford, PA. He married Rispah Allyn on 11 Nov 1792 in CT.
