The entry is associated with Joseph Lucas, son of Patience Warren, and greatgrandson of Richard Warren of the Mayflower. The source says he married 1st Persis Shaw, and had five children by her (John, Hannah, Samuel, Barnabas and Patience.) Persis died 6 Jun 1726 in her 35th year. The reference states: He m. (2) Bridgewater 9 Nov. 1727 MALATHIAH CAREY, B. CA. 1685; D. AFT. 25 feb. 1746 when named guardian of Barnabas; Dau. of Francis and Lydia (Brett) Cary. The will of Francis Cary dated 2 Jan. 1723/4 named dau. Malethiah.
