WORKING NOTES ON ROSANNA'S POSSIBLE ANCESTRY

Many sources on Ancestry.com have very erroneous information for Rosanna/Rosina
CENSUS DATA:
1850, with Minaah Carey in Canaan Township, Wayne Co, PA. She is listed as 43 and spelled Rosanna Carey. (BD of 1807)
1860, with Minor Carrey in South Canaan Township, Wayne Co, PA. She is listed as 55 and spelled Rosina Carrey.(BD of 1805)
1870, with Jacob Swingle in South Canaan Township, Wayne Co, PA. She is listed as 61 and spelled Rosanna Swingle. Her children Justus, age 27; Lucy (Bronson), age 32; Lydia (Woodward), age 22; Olive, age 19; and grand children Elbert Bronson, age 5 and Rosa Woodward, age 3 are all living together. This is a very "blended" family. Lucy is from her 1st marriage to Noah Cobb. Lucy's husband died in the Civil War; Lydia, Olive and Justus are all from her 2nd marriage to Miner Cary. I wonder where Lydia's huband Albert R. Woodward is? (BD of 1809)
1880, with her daughter Olive Davenport and Olive's family (husband James Davenport and their 3 children), in Sweet Valley, Luzerne CO, PA. She is listed as 72 and spelled Rosa Swaingle. This may also mean that she may be buried in the same cemetery as Olive and James are which I understand is the Sweet Valley Cemetery??? (BD of 1808)

Church record from the Pennsylvania German Church Records from 1729 - 1870 from a Lutheran Church in New Hanover, Montgomery Co, PA. This is just north of Philadelphia. Record says:
Schwarz, Rosina, b. July 4, 1807, babtised August 30, 1807. Daughter of a George and Rebecca Schwarz. 

Excert from DRINKER'S BEACH that was published in a Luzerne county newspaper, (? year)
Children of Micheal Swartz were:......"4. Rosanna, born about 1793 , lived in Canaan Township, Wayne County, Pa. She was married three times, first to Noah Cobb; second to Minor Carey; and third, to Jacob Swingle."

With all the ages she has given in the four different censuses, they have always come closer to 1807 then 1793. At this point in April 2004, she could be either the daughter of Micheal or the daughter of George, BUT the ages in the censuses are definitely pointing towards George. Where did the info in Drinkers Beach come from?
