Sarah Enslin Carey, born August 11, 1866 to Mary Cary and Enos Enslin.  Sarah married William Xavier Carey.  He was no relation to her.  His family came from Ireland.  They lived in the Waymart/South Canaan, PA area.  They had four children together.  Sarah married William at the age of 16 and died at the age of 28.  William lost his legs in a farming accident after being dragged and attacked by a bull during a severe winter storm.  He continued to raise his four children with the help of his oldest daughter, Kate.
